The London Caipirinha Festival is an initiative by VBRATA – Visit Brazil Travel, Cultural and Business Association that promotes Brazil as a cultural and gastronomic destination through its food and drinks, using the quintessential Brazilian cocktail internationally known, the Caipirinha, as well as highlighting the participating bars and restaurants offering Brazilian cocktails, food and drinks.
THE OBJECTIVES OF THE LONDON CAIPIRINHA FESTIVAL
- Promote participating London-based bars and restaurants
- Generate high quality media coverage for Brazil and participating bars and restaurants
- Establish the biggest Brazilian drinks and gastronomy competition in London
- Crown “London’s Best Caipirinha”, “London’s Best Brazilian Restaurant”, as well as other winners across different categories
- Profile London-based establishments as specialists in caipirinha and Brazilian food
- Encourage cocktail lovers to find out more about Brazil and drive general awareness of Brazilian culture in the UK
The festival provides digital and social media campaigns to promote all partners and the participating establishments.

HOW THE COMPETITION WORKS:
The London Caipirinha Festival is the biggest Brazilian cocktails, food and drinks competition in London, with the participation of bars and restaurants competing in various categories, including “London’s Best Caipirinha”, “London’s Best Brazilian Food”, “London’s Best Caipirinha Barman”, among others.
Voting involves the participation of consumers at the participating bars and restaurants, where caipirinhas are sampled and votes are cast online. Scores are awarded across a wide range of categories, including caipirinhas (original, fruit and exotic), caipirinha menu, cachaça, bartender, bar decoration, originality and creativity, culinary fusion, Brazilian snacks, Brazilian food, location and service.
Caipirinhas and Brazilian food offered by participating establishments are evaluated by both the public and a jury composed of critics and opinion makers. The final results combine public votes and jury votes, coordinated by the festival organisation.
